These terms apply when you book dog-walking visits with Pups Deployed. By scheduling a meet & greet or any visit, you agree to them. If something here doesn't work for you, get in touch and we'll figure it out.
The service
We provide scheduled dog walks and check-in visits in the Colorado Springs, CO area. The visit length and tasks depend on the plan you choose. We are insured and bonded.
Meet & greet
Before recurring service starts, we do a free in-person meet & greet at your home. We use it to confirm gates, leashes, harnesses, commands, vaccination records, and emergency contacts.
Vaccinations and health
- Your dog must be current on rabies, DHPP (or equivalent), and bordetella. We may ask to see records.
- Tell us in advance about any reactivity, medications, allergies, or recent illness.
- We reserve the right to end a visit early or refuse service if a dog's behavior, illness, or environment poses a safety risk to the dog, other dogs, or our team.
Free with every visit
- On request, we will bring in your mail and packages from the mailbox, porch, or front step.
- On request, we will roll your trash and recycling bins out to the curb the morning of pickup, or bring them back in afterward.
- No charge, included with every plan, dog or cat. Just mention it when you book and we'll add it to your visit notes.
Keys and home access
- You can give us a key, a lockbox code, a smart-lock code, or a garage code. We prefer codes when possible.
- We store access info securely and use it only to perform your scheduled visits.
- When recurring service ends, we return keys and confirm in writing that codes will not be reused.
Scheduling, changes, and cancellations
- Recurring schedules run week-to-week. You can request a schedule change directly from your private walk-history link, or by email or text. We'll confirm within one business day.
- Cancellations made 24+ hours in advance: no charge.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance: billed at full visit rate, since the slot was held for you.
- Holidays:visits requested on Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day (July 4), Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day are billed at 1.5× the standard rate.
Pricing and payment
- Current rates are listed on the Plans page of our website.
- Recurring-volume discount: book 4 or more visits per week and 5% comes off every visit, automatically.
- Multi-dog households (walks only): add $5 per walk for each additional dog in the same household. Soft cap of 3 dogs per walker; 4 or more dogs requires a custom quote and may need a second walker. Yard-sweep visits are billed flat per visit regardless of how many dogs use the yard.
- Service-discount eligibility(active military, veteran, police, fire, EMS) is 10% off every visit. Bring something verifying service to the meet & greet.
- Discounts do not stack.If more than one discount would apply (recurring-volume, service discount, etc.), the larger one is applied. We'll use whichever saves you the most.
- Card on file:after the meet & greet you receive a one-time Stripe setup link to save a card. Each completed visit is then charged at the listed plan price using that card. You can update the card anytime from your private walk-history link.
- Late or failed charges may pause service until resolved. We do not store card numbers ourselves; Stripe holds the card and we only see a brand and last-4 (e.g. “Visa 4242”).
Overnight care (“Deployment Watch”)
- Overnight stays are at your home, on the schedule we agree on. Default presence is roughly 10pm to 7am.
- Two on-routine walks per day are included in the nightly rate.
- Mail, packages, plants, and basic in-house tasks are included on request. We do not water lawns, run unattended appliances, or house guests on your behalf.
- A meet & greet is required before the first overnight booking even if you are an existing walking client.
- Overnight bookings on listed holidays are billed at 1.5× the standard nightly rate.
Cat care (“Feline Recon”)
- Cat visits are drop-ins while you are out of town. Standard scope is fresh food and water, scooped litter, mail and packages brought in, and a quick check on the home. Light plant watering is included with twice-daily plans on request.
- Two-cat households are the same price as one. Three or more cats are quoted individually based on routine and feeding setup.
- Medication is included if it can be given orally, topically, or in food. Injectable medication (insulin, fluids, etc.) is by arrangement only and may require a separate quote.
- A free meet & greet is required before the first booking so your cat sees a familiar face on day one.
- Bookings on listed holidays are billed at 1.5× the standard rate. Same cancellation policy as walks: 24 hours notice for free cancel, half-rate for same-day cancels.
Photos and notes
We send a photo and short note after every visit. We may use photos of your pet (with their face, never your address or you) on our website or social media. If you don't want your pet featured, just tell us and we won't.
Liability
We carry general liability and care-custody-control insurance. We will exercise reasonable care for your dog, your home, and your property. We are not liable for issues that result from inaccurate information you provide (wrong codes, undisclosed health or behavior issues, broken gates), nor for medical conditions that arise during normal exercise.
In an emergency we will try to contact you first. If we can't reach you, we may seek veterinary care at your expense and use the emergency contact you provided.
Service area
We serve the Colorado Springs, CO zones listed on our Zones page. Coverage outside of those areas is by arrangement only.
Termination
Either of us can end recurring service at any time, with at least 7 days' notice when reasonable. We will return keys and complete any unpaid invoice on the final day of service.
Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. We'll always try to resolve issues directly first.
Changes to these terms
If we update these terms we'll post the new version here and update the date above. Material changes affecting active clients will also be emailed.
